The software scans through your entire model and detects the outer layer of faces/meshes that are visible from the outside view, and deletes all the internal layers of geometry. This tool significantly reduces the polygon count of your model by deleted internal geometry that wouldn’t be visible.
For example, an engineering model of a valve would include various components, including the outer shell and interior electrical components. After using Meshmatic, the internal components would be automatically deleted, leaving only the outer shell of geometry.
