The Extract small part tool scans your model and calculates the average size of all the parts in your mesh. It then selects all parts that are smaller than 5% of the average size of all the parts in your mesh. This selection often results in very small parts – like nuts and bolts – that are tedious to individually delete. Meshmatic then automatically save them in a separate file or deletes the selection of small parts from your mesh.
